Mom jeans ..No its not just Kendall Jenner’s favorite but mine too. These vintage 80s 90s jeans #momjeans  are quite a rage these days..

How many of you watched Rachel of the famous sitcom ‘Friends’ flaunting these mom denims.I loved theses vintage pair ever since then.

We are currently loving all things 80s n 90s. Please don’t confuse the mom jeans with your boyfriend jeans. If you are by any chance go pull out your moms young days  photo album and compare it with your 2016 boyfriend denims. You will see the difference in the waist line. These jeans really did accentuate my moms hourglass figure (i cant really say that about my petite frame)

So are you ready to make a statement with your Mom jeans.Well I am surely ready for it.So heres how I styled my ‘Back in the time ‘ vintage pair by giving it a little modern twist and yet combining all things 80s and 90s.

1.Double Breast jacket was that perfect combo to get that 90s look.To add a more to the 90s nostalgia I tried the 90s Mohawk faux hawk hairdo and finished the look with my favorite brogues

‘WHAT TO WEAR’ #OneByThree

Eid just went by and now Diwali is round the corner.

And now the weather is getting better and the monthly catch up sessions with friends better known as ‘kitty party’ will start. We women need these monthly gathering of gossip and fun.Call it kitty party or a gathering which is all about letting go of daily life trivialities and enjoying and getting back to the world by dressing up.Remember the quote “wake up,dress up and never give up”.
My latest collaboration with with ONE BY THREE  (OBT) is all about to solving that haunting question “what to wear”
I live in Dubai and in  summer when the sun beats  its harsh rays on us ,I usually opt for lighter versions of my favorite colors and OBT creates that perfect summer go to wardrobe with their captivating styles.
OBT is a label for woman of today. It was evolved from three college friends wanting to share their passion and flare for fashion .Their clothes are  not just a blend of confidence and class but it reminds a woman how beautiful she is every time she wears OBT.

I enjoy living in Dubai and have many friends from India and Pakistan.Fusion styles more in tune with trends are quite popular these days . OBT gives you that fresh and fun options on “What to wear” and make  utterly chic statement whether it is any festival or your kitty party.
Their fashion forward tops are great options for women with any shape, size and height.
Style their tops with your palazzo, culottes or with your favorite pair jeans ,you are sure to make a statement.
Here is how I styled their stunning tops.

…”And when shes walking

Shes looking so fine….”

Uptown girl

,shes been living in an uptown world …

This song by Billy Joel reflects my peppy mood today. No I was not out looking for a downtown man.The scorching heat has almost baked us in Dubai  and I was singing away to get my mind off the weather.

Last weekend I walked into  a pop up store and I came across some color block dresses crowded next to each other on hangers. It was from  a brand called “SATAMI”(owned by an Emirati designer) from her line called “burqa babes”.

In the first sight I looked off and  thought these over sized dresses  would never look good on my petite body. But the designer insisted I must try them on.

I shook those concerns off and thought I must give it a try.Holy cow ! it looked stunning .

So when Satami approached me for a collaboration I was so thrilled and excited to show it off to the world.

These over sized dresses were designed keeping in mind  the modest dressing of beautiful Arab women. The best outfit is the one you feel confident, cool and sexy in and these super classy dresses was not only that but was extremely comfortable and chic.It was just that perfect summer dress that you can take from day to evening.

Color blocking is a great trend and huge on the runways ,one that is perfect for creating flattering shapes and adding a touch of brightness to the outfit.

My dressing preferences fluctuate based on my mood and the weather. So here I was  was strutting around  at ‘city walk’ (Dubai) in these uber chic and comfy dresses singing away and beating the Dubai heat.

I hope you like the post.Do share your thought what you think about the colour block trend.

YAY  Eid is already here.

Having lived in the gulf for more than a decade now ,i personally love the the holy month of Ramadan.

The positive and spiritual vibe the city gives cannot simply be explained in words.

I love Eid. Its an unique festival. The fact that it has no connection with any historical event makes it even more special .Eid-Al- Fitr is purely spiritual. Its a day to be grateful .Its a day to rejoice and spread happiness .Its a day to forget and forgive. And a day to dress up and look pretty.

Talking about festivals ,I come from India where dressing up on a festive day is a must. Most of us go shopping days before any festival.

So, when Forever 21  approached me for a collaboration my wardrobe for Eid was sorted.

But wait Forever 21 for Eid ?I was a bit taken aback when I saw their Eid collection .There was a whole festive  line from their new collection.Honestly I  never had so much shopping at Forever 21 ever before than this time.

I created four looks for Eid. I hope you like them.Have a happy and a blessed Eid.

1.Fun n Floral

Traditionally we like to wear a little bright and floral outfits to represent the cheerfulness of the beautiful festival Eid.

2. Vintage look

Bell sleeves are a trend these days .So I paired bell sleeves top with a lace skirt to create a perfect night look when visiting friends and family in the evenings.

3.White Affair

One can never go wrong with all white.A white lace skirt and white lace cape thrown in for a good measure, to wear it at home when friends  visit us.Its always nice to make an effort for Eid .This look was both comfy and stylish. You don’t  have to sacrifice your look in being a host at home.

And last but not the least I kept the flavor of Forever 21 alive and  created this very young and chic look with a tulle skirt and a pink floral bell sleeves top IMG_1651 IMG_1664 IMG_1665 IMG_1676 IMG_1669 IMG_1675

“Shes a lady on the move ,hustling and grinding with her beauty and her brain, shes on a mission to be the best her,she can be.”- j iron word

hello my angels
Many of you don’t know that I have a 9 to 5 job going other than being a fashion blogger.I worked in the aviation industry for a very long time and then moved to Dubai.I  dabbled into different profession but it was enjoyable ride full of learning n growth.
Dressing up for work can sometimes be a little boring especially if the dress code for work is strictly corporate.Luckily its not in my case.
So how do you dress on a Friday which is Thursday in the middle east (Fridays are weekends in the middle east)
Depending on the season whatever we wear at work should always look decent and fab.Usually when it comes to weekend work dressing,I choose to go for smart casuals .
So last Thursday I wore my wide leg pants and to add a little casual twist i wore it with polo t shirt.I threw my blue blazer over to add a professional vibe to the whole look.
I was ready to hustle .And like I always believe that no matter how you feel always have your game face on.

Hope you like this post and my weekend work outfit.

Keep Hustling
